DISTRIBUTION SERVER AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend an application available for any other portable terminal than an accessing portable terminal.

SOLUTION: A distribution server has a storage section for storing a combination of portable terminals and a utilization history of an application utilized by the portable terminals; a user registration terminal storage section for storing a user and an identifier of a portable terminal device registered by the user; a receiving section for receiving a distribution request signal; a determination section for determining whether a user corresponding to an identifier of a portable terminal included in the distribution request signal registers a plurality of portable terminals on the basis of the information stored in the user registration terminal storage section; an acquisition section for acquiring the utilization history of the application corresponding to a combination coincident with a plurality of portable terminals from among combinations of portable terminals stored in the utilization history storage section in the case where the plurality of portable terminals are registered; a selection section for selecting the application to be recommended; and a sharing section for sharing information representing that application with the other portable terminal device.
