METHOD FOR LAMINATING COMPOSITE SHEET USING RELEASE FILM, LAMINATE OBTAINED BY THE METHOD, AND RELEASE FILM FOR USE IN THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily handling a carbon black (CB)/PTFE composite porous sheet without causing wrinkles or creases, though the sheet can be used as the gas diffusion layer of a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell or that of an electrochemical device for electrolysis or for an application which is accompanied with an electrochemical reaction, such as a gas sensor, is difficult to handle because the sheet is flexible and hence is apt to wrinkle or crease.

SOLUTION: A method for laminating a composite sheet on a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) comprises the steps of: preparing the MEA; preparing the composite sheet comprising functional powder and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE); preparing a release film; superposing the composite sheet on the release film and pressing the superposed composite sheet at ordinary temperature; superposing the pressed composite sheet which has been pressed against the release film at ordinary temperature, on the MEA and hot-pressing the resultant stack; and peeling the release film from the hot-pressed composite sheet.
