<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber-reinforced ceramic composite material, whereby a more compact matrix can be formed by reducing the size of or suppressing the formation of cracks that are formed when drying and hardening a ceramic fiber after impregnating voids thereof with a ceramic slurry or when drying and firing the same, and the fiber-reinforced ceramic composite material showing high impact resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The production method comprises: a step of adding and dispersing ≥0.2-≤11 vol.% short ceramic fibers of ≥0.5-≤10 mm long in the ceramic slurry; a step of soaking the ceramic fiber in the ceramic slurry wherein the short ceramic fibers are dispersed, thereby depositing ceramic particles and the short ceramic fibers onto a surface of the ceramic fiber; a step of forming the ceramic fiber into a prescribed shape and drying and hardening the same; and a step of firing the hardened product obtained in the previous step at a prescribed temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
