<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detector having a simple configuration and strong robustness. <P>SOLUTION: In a rotation angle detector 2 that detects the rotation angle of a rotating detection target, a first wall 41 and a second wall 42 of a frame-shaped yoke 40, which includes the rotation axis z of a detection target therein, are parallel to each other. This results in uniform distribution of magnetic flux vector in the direction orthogonal to the first wall 41. Therefore, even when a Hall element 5 is out of position, the density of the detected magnetic flux hardly changes and the rotation angle detector 2 obtains robustness. Further, the distance Y2 from the Hall element 5 to an inner wall 42a of the second wall 42 is shorter than the distance Y1 from the Hall element 5 to an inner wall 41a of the first wall 41. The length X2 of the inner wall 42a is longer than the length X1 of the inner wall 41a. Accordingly, the uniform region of the magnetic flux vector is can be expanded on the second wall 42 side close to the Hall element 5, resulting in enhancement of robustness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
