A video processing device (100) is for processing three dimensional [3D] video information and is coupled to an auto-stereoscopic 3D display device (120), e.g. a TV having a lenticular 3D display (123). The video processing device has an input unit (101) for receiving the 3D video data and a video processor (106) for generating a 3D display signal (HO) representing the 3D video data and overlayed auxiliary data. The video processing device receives view data including view mask data from the 3D display device, the view mask data defining a pixel arrangement of multiple views to be displayed by the 3D display device. The video processor generates the multiple views according to the view mask data, and includes the multiple views in the display signal. Advantageously the auxiliary data is combined with the main data when generating the multiple views, which avoids artifacts.
