Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of hand, foot, and transmission gear in conjunction with; controlling different functions by same lever; pedals, mounting and guiding.-Comprises a pedal movable as a unit for operating at will either a brake or an accelerator, said pedal being connected to the accelerator and brakes respectively by alternately operable means so arranged as to cause the pedal to rock about a different pivot to operate alternatively either the accelerator or the brake.. The pivots about which the pedal rocks are respectively arranged towards the toe and the heel of the pedal. A hand control for the throttle is provided and is connected by a lost-motion device to the pedal-actuated mechanism. The invention is described in the original Specification 598,488 and is shown more particularly in Figs. 1 to 10, 22 and 23 of the drawings accompanying that Specification.
