<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus, an image display method and an image display program capable of optimizing display mode of menu even when user operates a touch panel with a finger. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus determines a holding position of the display apparatus, an object content displayed on the touch panel and inclination of the display apparatus (S1-S5). A menu indicating processing items available for the user is generated corresponding to either one of the display state or processing state of the object content (S7). A display mode of the menu including display position and the direction of the menu is determined corresponding to the content of the menu, the holding position of the display apparatus and the inclination of the display apparatus (S9).
