METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING SLUDGE INCINERATION ASH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating sludge incineration ash which effectively recover phosphorus from the sludge incineration ash and provide the treated ash from which ash lead is hardly eluted even when the treated ash is placed under a low pH condition.

SOLUTION: The method for treating sludge incineration ash comprises: a phosphorus extraction step of mixing the sludge incineration ash with an alkaline reaction solution to extract the phosphorus included in the sludge incineration ash in the alkaline reaction solution and obtain a mixture of a phosphorus-extracted solution and alkali-treated ash; and a sulfuric acid treatment step of adding sulfuric acid to the alkali-treated ash to adjust the pH thereof to ≤3.5 and obtain sulfuric acid-treated ash. The apparatus for treating sludge incineration ash includes: a phosphorus extraction part for extracting the phosphorus included in the sludge incineration ash in the alkaline reaction solution; and a sulfuric acid treatment part for adding sulfuric acid to the alkali-treated ash to adjust the pH thereof to ≤3.5 and obtain sulfuric acid-treated ash.
