<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for monitoring surrounding of vehicle in which no synchronous circuit is needed and the detection timing of a plurality of detection means can be adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for monitoring surrounding of a vehicle comprises: first detection means for continually detecting object information of surrounding of a vehicle at a prescribed period, second detection means for detecting the object information of surrounding of a vehicle in a different manner from that of the first detection means at a prescribed timing; and time correction means for correcting the detection timing at which the first detection means have detected the object information within one cycle as one timing of the one cycle.
