<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of demolishing a base isolation rubber which is mainly formed by a rubber body, which allows the demolishing work to be performed more safely than a conventional way, and to additionally provide a method of demolishing a base isolation rubber containing a core material, including the same method. <P>SOLUTION: In a base isolation rubber demolishing method, a discharging opening 13, whose diameter is almost the same as the diameter of a core material 9 or slightly larger than that, is formed at a position corresponding to the core material 9 in a body 8 of an end plate 10, and an inserting opening 14, into which extrusion means 15 of the core material 9 can be inserted, is formed in an end plate 11. The extrusion means 15 is inserted into the inserting opening 14 to extrude the core material 9 out of the discharging opening 13. Then, a distance between the end plates 10 and 11 on both ends of the body 8 is extended in a lamination direction with extension means, fixing either one of the end plates 10 or 11 and rotating the other one with winding means in the lamination direction around the axis to twist the body 8, and the body 8 is cut in a desired thickness with cutting means 16 in a direction almost orthogonal to the axial direction of the body 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
