<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring tape that can further reduce the intermittent contact between a shaft fitting part of a rotary drum that rotates with high speed in the measuring tape and a shaft installed in the inner wall of a case, compared to the conventional measuring tape, quickly release the contact between them even in the case of the contact, and reduce noise due to the contact and vibration resulting from the increase/decrease in the rotational speed due to the contact to the level that a user of the measuring tape hardly feels. <P>SOLUTION: A measuring tape is constituted so that magnets 6 and 7 are provided respectively on a shaft fitting part 5 of a rotary drum 4 and a shaft 3 facing the shaft fitting part 5 for supporting the rotary drum 4 rotatably, and by magnetic repulsion generated between these magnets 6 and 7, the rotation-directional motion of the rotary drum 4 can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
