<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility which allows an article transfer means to move more rapidly. <P>SOLUTION: The article storage facility includes an article storage shelf 1 with a plurality of storage sections S juxtaposed vertically and horizontally to put and support a columnar or cylindrical article B in a horizontally laid position where a shaft center direction of the article faces a depth direction and an article transfer means M which transfers the article B to any of the storage sections S. The article transfer means M is configured to have an article support 17A capable of freely putting and supporting the article B in such a way that the support freely reciprocates between a retracted state and a projected state and freely moves up and down and to execute scoop processing for fetching the article B put and supported in the storage section S and unload processing for housing the article B put and supported on the article support 17A in the storage section S, wherein the article transfer means M is further equipped with an article receiver 30 for receiving the side of the article B put and supported on the article support 17A put in the retracted state in a directional vision along the article support 17A in a reciprocating direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
