AROMATIC COPOLYAMIDE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic copolyamide having structural repeating units each represented by formula (1) and structural repeating units each represented by formula (2) (in formulas (1) and (2), Ar1and Ar2are each independently a non-substituted or substituted divalent aromatic group) and having a narrow molecular weight distribution.

SOLUTION: A method for producing the aromatic copolyamide is provided, which is obtained by polymerization of the aromatic copolyamide followed by conducting a heat treatment of the resultant copolymer at ≥60-≤100°C for ≥30-≤60 min under stirring at a speed of ≥30-≤200 rpm.
