PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophobic substance-including particle in which the release amount of a hydrophobic substance is easily adjustable.

SOLUTION: The hydrophobic substance-including particle 1 includes: a hydrophobic substance 6; and associated particles 2 including the hydrophobic substance 6. The associated particles 2 form an associated body 3 essentially consisting of an amphiphilic chain-like polymer 10 including a hydrophilic unit and a hydrophobic unit, and an amphiphilic endless polymer 20, and the associated body 3 forms an aggregate 4 in which a plurality of the associated bodies 3 are gathered at a prescribed temperature or above in an aqueous medium.
