<p>The method involves continuously measuring outer and inner pressures during a rail operation in time intervals ranging between 500 microseconds to 5 milliseconds. A pressure tightness of a pressure-fit rail vehicle is monitored in an erroneous function by evaluation of dynamic behavior of the pressures. A maximum value of the inner pressure is determined and compared against an allowed maximum threshold for monitoring the tightness. The evaluation is triggered by the pressures by a pressure surge event. Measurement values of the pressures are continuously buffered over a period of 20 s. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring a vehicle pressure tightness of a pressure-fit rail vehicle.</p> |
