PURPOSE: An energy efficiency improvement method of a wireless sensor network is provided to improve the energy efficiency of a wireless sensor network by reducing delay in transit between nodes. CONSTITUTION: A first node transmits the number of retransmission, the retransmission interval of data, a duty cycle to a second node(400). The second node calculates a wakeup section timing point based on the number of the retransmission, the retransmission interval of data, and the duty cycle(402). The second node executes a wake up mode in a calculated timing point(404).
