The disclosed noise elimination device comprises: an input signal detection unit which detects a pulse signal contained in an input signal; an input signal information generation unit which stores the high level or low level polarity and the length of the pulse section for each pulse in the pulse signal; a provisional cycle determination unit which calculates the sections of added pulses having an arbitrary section length formed from the combination of the same number of high level and low level polarities in the pulse signal, as provisional cycles; a cycle determination unit which compares the provisional cycle with a cycle specific value which is a candidate value for the length of the cycle of the input signal, and determines a cycle determination value on the basis of the result of the comparison; a noise calculation unit which calculates a noise number contained in the cycle determination value; and a noise elimination unit which reverses the polarity of the pulse sections included in the cycle determination value, in order from the sections having a small pulse width, into the polarity of a section corresponding to the noise number, and revises the pulse signal included in the input signal to a pulse signal formed from the combination of a pair of high level and lower level polarities.
