<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve solvent resistance and swell resistance of an electrolyte membrane constituting a membrane electrode joined body while suppressing a decrease in activity of a catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of membrane electrode joined bodies 20 are formed at an opening part 32 provided to a base 30. Each membrane electrode joined body 20 includes an electrolyte film 22, a cathode protection layer 23 and a cathode catalyst layer 24 provided on one surface of the electrolyte film 22, and an anode protection layer 25 and an anode catalyst layer 26 provided on the other surface of the electrolyte film 22. The electrolyte film 22 includes an apatite component 82.
