METHOD FOR ENFORCING MINIMUM FONT SIZE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enforcing a user specified minimum font size (USMFS) in a hardcopy document (HD).

SOLUTION: The method includes: a step (301) for receiving a request to print an electronic document (ED) according to a magnification ratio; a step (304) for identifying a first character in the ED having a first font size smaller than a quotient of the USMFS divided by the magnification ratio; and a step (306) for enlarging the first font size by a scale factor to match the quotient. A hardcopy document (HD) is generated by scaling the ED according to the magnification ratio. The HD includes the first character of the USMFS.
