<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing power consumption of a power source device with a simple structure depending on a state of an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: The power source device comprises: a power conversion unit for converting an AC power to a DC power and outputting the DC power; a DC power output line for outputting the DC power output by the power conversion unit to the electronic device; a consumption monitoring unit for monitoring consumption of the DC power which has been output to the electronic device in the electronic device by detecting changes in a current in the DC power output line; a switching unit capable of switching between an input allowable state which allows the AC power to be input to the power conversion unit and an input inhibition state which inhibits the AC power from being input to the power conversion unit; and a switching power supply unit for supplying power for switching from the input inhibition state to the input allowable state from a power source different from a power source for the AC power. The switching unit switches between the input allowable state and the input inhibition state depending on the consumption in the electronic device monitored by the consumption monitoring unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
