<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble low molecular weight heat-sensitive biodegradable block copolymer with high-wt.% concentration of a hydrophobic block. <P>SOLUTION: The water-soluble biodegradable ABA or BAB type triblock polymer is composed of: over half amount of a poly(lactide-co-glycolide) or poly(lactide) polymer as the A-block; and a less amount of hydrophilic polyethylene glycol polymer as the B-block, wherein the triblock polymer has a total weight-average molecular weight of about 2,000 to 4,990 and reverse heat-gelling characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
