<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose fixation device has substantially constant paper holding conveyance speed regardless of thermal expansion of a fixation roller. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a heating roller 23 having a heat source 26; a fixation roller 22 having an elastic layer 30 on the circumference of a core metal 29; an endless fixation belt 24 extending between the heating roller 23 and the fixation roller 22; and a pressurizing roller 21 provided on the circumference side of the fixation belt 24. The image forming apparatus has a fixation device 20 for heating and fixing paper by passing the paper carrying an unfixed toner image through a nip part that is formed by press contact of the fixation roller 22 and the pressurizing roller 21 between the fixation belt 24 and the pressurizing roller 21. The image forming apparatus also has a core metal temperature detection member 33 for detecting temperature of the core metal of the fixation roller 22, and a fixation roller controller for controlling rotary drive of the fixation roller 22. The fixation roller controller controls rotation speed of the fixation roller 22 on the basis of the temperature detected by the core metal temperature detection member 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
