<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowmeter capable of eliminating excess consumption of power at starting vibration of system lock thereby reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The flowmeter executes flow measurement at least once in each unit time, and calculates 1/n amount of flow per unit time based on the measurement result and adds the result to an integrated value n times. In each addition, it is checked if any digit carry occurs in the integrated value and pattern data of the detected carry is shift-output in the next unit time using a parallel input serial output shift register which shifts every unit time of 1/n.
