<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat capable of securing the impact absorbing performance against an impact to be applied to a seat back from a front side and capable of reducing the thickness dimension of the seat back. <P>SOLUTION: In a rear seat 10, the seat back 14 is disposed in front of a body panel 12, and the body panel 12 supports a headrest 16. An impact absorbing bracket 70 welded to a seat back frame 32 is disposed in an upper part of the seat back 14. The impact absorbing bracket 70 is formed in a seat back pad integrally with the seat back frame 32 by foaming, and when an impact is applied to the upper part of the seat back 14 from a front side, the impact absorbing bracket 70 is plastically deformed to absorb the impact energy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
