<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device of an outboard motor, in which abrasion powder generated in a lock-up clutch is not mixed into an oil circulation circuit or a lubricating oil passage of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission device of an outboard motor includes: a pump impeller 10; a torque converter T comprising a turbine impeller 12 and a stator impeller 13 which are disposed to face the pump impeller 10 through the oil circulation circuit 11; and the lock-up clutch L which can connect between the pump impeller 10 and the turbine impeller 12. In the transmission device of an outboard motor, wherein a turbine shaft 3 connected to the turbine impeller 12 is connected to a propeller shaft 5, an end opposed to a side connected to the propeller shaft 5 in the turbine shaft 3 is projected outward from the converter T, and the projected end is connected with the pump impeller 10 through a dry type lock-up clutch L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
