PURPOSE: A remote control apparatus and system thereof are provided to reduce the number of control keys in a remote control apparatus by previously recognizing the control keys according to state information. CONSTITUTION: A remote control apparatus includes a main body unit(200) and a sliding unit(300). The sliding unit is overlapped with the one side of the main body unit. The sliding unit is overlapped with the other side of the main body unit. The sliding unit is controlled. The main body unit includes a wireless communication unit and a control unit. The wireless communication unit is communicated with an external apparatus. The control unit changes the mode of the external apparatus according to the operation of the sliding unit.
