<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implantable medical device into which a medical agent or a bioactive agent is introduced. <P>SOLUTION: The implantable medical device 10 includes: a structure 12 that has at least one surface and comprises a basic material 14, and that can be introduced into a body of a patient (a); at least one coating layer 16 posited on one surface of the structure 12 (b); and at least one layer 18 of a first bioactive material posited on at least a portion of the coating layer 16 (C), wherein the coating layer 16 gradually releases the bioactive material from the coating layer 16. The bioactive material is made up of a paclitaxel by which amount whose amount prevents the proliferation and movement of a smooth muscle cell.
