PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a plant-based biomass molding, which can prevent the deterioration of appearance of wood material and inexpensively manufacture a biomass molding having excellent bending strength.

SOLUTION: A heat and flow molding material 2 is once obtained by shear deformation through the action of a shearing force F while compressing a plant-based biomass material 1 softened by heat. After that, the heat and flow molding material 2 is fed into a die and is heat-pressed to obtain a molding having a three-dimensional shape.
