<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium capable of compensating for an S/N loss of servo information by an azimuth angle, and a disk device equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium 50 where magnetic information is recorded by magnetic transfer recording comprises: a data recording area 58 where information is recorded by multiple data tracks extending in a concentric fashion; and a servo area 60 which includes servo information corresponding to the data tracks. The servo information includes multiple burst patterns for tracking detection which are formed side by side in a circumferential direction of the data tracks, and the burst patterns have the number of approximately same periodic signals that differs according to a radial position of the magnetic recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
