PACK CASE HAVING A NOVEL STRUCTURE

The present invention relates to a battery pack case in which a battery cell arrangement, comprising two or more battery cells arranged in a lateral direction, and a protection circuit module are accommodated. The battery pack case comprises: a lower case in which the battery cell arrangement and the protection circuit module are accommodated; and an upper case which covers the lower case so as to fix the locations of the battery cell arrangement and protection circuit module. The lower case is divided into a battery cell mounting portion in which battery cells are accommodated, and a protection circuit module mounting portion in which a protection circuit module is accommodated. A partition wall is formed at the interface between the battery cell mounting portion and the protection circuit module mounting portion so as to define the two portions. An opening is formed in a portion of the separation wall, said opening corresponding to an electrical connection portion between electrode terminals of the battery cells and protection circuit module, in a such a manner that the electrode terminals of the battery cells are exposed toward the protection circuit module.
