The arrangement has filling bodies (5) arranged in a column (1), and microorganisms are formed on the filling bodies. Flushing fluid running toward the bodies is discharged with sulfur degradation products from the column by a discharge cable, where the products are produced by the microorganisms. The filling bodies are formed like strips, and run in upright manner. The microorganisms are decomposed as hydrogen sulfide and provided as sessile microorganisms of genus Thiobacillus in the column. The cable is separated from a sprinkling and flushing system (11).
