The device has a communication interface providing a connection to a local network. The communication interface is constructed over the connection to service a building. The communication interface incorporates with a web server. The communication interface is provided with a push mode with a service provider over the local network such that the communication interface exchanges router data over the local network that is attached with the service provider, where successful start-up or a successful accomplished selection is displayed to a local display i.e. LED display, by communication units. The smart meter is coupled with a RS-485interface. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a building services device.
