<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management server, image display device, image providing method, image capturing method, program and image management system in which user's convenience can be further improved by suppressing response performance reduction caused by network response delay. <P>SOLUTION: An image management server includes: a microscopic image capturing section for capturing a sample microscopic image captured by a microscope and comprised of a plurality of tile images and storing the microscopic image in a predetermined storage region; a meta information production section for producing meta information characterizing the microscopic image in accordance with a data analysis result of the captured microscopic image; an image provision processing section for providing the meta information and the microscopic image in response to a request from an image display device; and a provision image prediction section for predicting the tile image highly possible to be requested by the image display device on the basis of hint information which is transmitted from the image display device and which indicates contents of display processing of the microscopic image being implemented in the image display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
