<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle generator capable of promptly completing generation of a high voltage during load damping. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle generator 1 comprises: armature windings 2 and 3; two rectification modules 5 and 6 that constitute a plurality of bridge circuits with lower arms; a control part 100 that on-off controls each of MOS transistors included in the bridge circuit; and a load dump protection determination part 140. The load dump protection determination part 140 transmits, to the control part 100, an instruction for turning on the MOS transistor 51 constituting the lower arm when an output voltage exceeds a first threshold voltage and, when the output voltage is lower than a second threshold voltage, transmits an instruction for turning off the MOS transistor 51 to the control part 100. The load damp protection determination part 140 determines suitability of the timing of turning off the MOS transistor 51 after detecting that the output voltage is lower than the second threshold voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
