IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device, a control method and a program which can further improve on a problem of white voids than conventional technologies.

SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises: a photoconductive image carrier; electrification means to electrify the image carrier; image exposure means to form an electrostatic latent image by image-exposing a surface of the image carrier after the electrification corresponding to an image pattern; developing means to develop a toner image by attaching a toner to the electrostatic latent image; edge detection means to detect an edge part in which a high-concentration region is adjacent to a low-concentration region in the image pattern; and light exposure control means to perform pulse width modulation corresponding to the image pattern and to have the image exposure means perform light exposure. The light exposure control means increases light exposure intensity per exposed area for the low-concentration region forming the edge part detected by the edge detection means with image exposure light.
