<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can store image files as many as possible under file names complying with a design rule for file storage system and allows easy viewing of a desired image file from among a large amount of image files of serially captured images. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 100 as an example of the image processing apparatus comprises an imaging part 102 for capturing an image, a memory card 200 for storing image files and a control part 101 for controlling the whole of the digital camera 100. The control part 101 selects, when images are serially captured, one or plural representative images from among the serially captured images (S108), stores the selected representative image in the memory card 200 giving the image a file name complying with the design rule for file storage system (S309), and stores serially captured images other than the representative image in the memory card 200 respectively giving them file names not complying with the design rule for file storage system (S313). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
