<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide taper-like artificial hair comparing favorably with human hair in color, gloss and touch, excellent in feeling, curl setting properties, set retaining properties, and combing, and also excellent in solidity and durability, to provide a method for producing the artificial hair, and to provide a wig using the artificial hair. <P>SOLUTION: The taper-like artificial hair 1 is made of polyester filament. The polyester filament 1 includes a spin-dyeing agent and inorganic minute particles of ≥1 μm average particle diameter.
