<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which is used under environments such as severe temperature changes, large changes of cooling conditions, and severe heat-radiation conditions and can restrain excessive temperature rise. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device 1 includes light-emitting elements 6, a power source 3 can vary power applied to the light-emitting elements, a temperature sensor 4 can measuring temperature of the light-emitting elements, and a control circuit 5 for controlling the power source in response to values of the temperature sensor 4.
