<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a drop in productivity during interrupt printing by controlling timing of a print stop of an interruted job, and a print start of an interrupting job, according to the status of the interrupted job and the interrupting job. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus can execute interrupt print processing, and includes: an RIP unit 108 for performing RIP processing to a print job including at least a page to generate image data; a printer unit 113 for performing print processing based on the generated image data; and an MFP control unit 106 for controlling the printer unit 13 so as to interrupt print processing for the interrupting job and to start print processing of the interrupting job, when the RIP processing to a page included in the interrupting job is completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
