<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a secondary transfer failure depending on an image to be formed on a storage medium such as printing papers to improve quality of an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus restricts a primary transfer current applied to each primary transfer roller 12, 13 and 14 and reduces charge amount of toner on an intermediate transfer belt 5 after a primary transfer and before a secondary transfer to stabilize the secondary transfer, based on total quantity of toner of a toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum 6, 7, 8 and 9, quantity of toner of a toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum 7, 8 and 9, and quantity of toner adsorbed on the intermediate transfer belt 5 immediately before the primary transfer is performed between each photoreceptor drum 6, 7 and 8 and the intermediate transfer belt 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
