<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with improved fixability without being restricted by a dedicated sheet or toner. <P>SOLUTION: A device comprises fixing means for pressure-fixing a toner image overlapped on a recording sheet, and control means for calculating maximum heights h1 and h2, where "h1" is the maximum height of a toner layer of color toner image forming means, and "h2" is the maximum height of a toner layer of transparent toner image forming means.
