<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating grease that evaluates durability for a refrigerant to evaluate durability when used for a bearing in a refrigerant atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the method of evaluating grease. The method includes the processes of: preparing diluted grease G by diluting the grease to be evaluated with base oil, and also preparing an evaluation sample S which is flowable by adding the refrigerant R to be evaluated to the diluted grease G; holding the evaluation sample S in a separation container 2, and performing temperature cycle processing in which temperature processing for holding the evaluation sample S below a temperature at which the grease to be evaluated and the refrigerant R to be evaluated are emulsified and temperature processing for holding the evaluation sample S above the temperature are repeated once or more on the evaluation sample S; measuring the rate of a base oil-B layer separated from a diluted grease-G layer thereafter to find a base oil separation rate; and evaluating the durability of the grease to be evaluated for the refrigerant R to be evaluated based upon the base oil separation rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
