<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio jack connector and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The audio jack connector includes an insulation body, a plurality of terminals, a bottom case, and a seal case. The insulation body has a main body part including a front wall and a bottom wall, an insertion hole is bored in the front wall, and the bottom wall has a plurality of terminal grooves communicating with the insertion hole. The terminals have solder pins and are inserted into the terminal groove. The bottom case covers the bottom wall of the insulation body to shield the terminal groove from the outside, and the bottom case includes a cover and has a clamp part with a fitting groove formed by bending and protruding both side ends of the cover, the solder pins of the terminals extending out of the fitting groove. The seal case is molded outside the bottom case integrally with the insulation body to hermetically seal gaps between the bottom case and insulation body, and solder pins and bottom case, the solder pins extending out of the seal case. Waterproofing is achieved through covering effect of the bottom case and seal case on the insulation body to which the terminals are attached. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
