The invention relates to a fitting (10) for a vehicle seat, particularly for a motor vehicle seat, comprising a first fitting part (11) and a second fitting part (12), said fitting parts being rotatable relative to each other and being held together axially by a clutch ring (13). The clutch ring has an inner ring section (13a), by means of which the clutch ring radially overlaps the outer edge of the second fitting part (12), an outer ring section (13b), by means of which the clutch ring is fixed on the front face of the first fitting part (11) in an outer edge section, and a centering section (13c), which extends axially in relation to the outer ring section (13b). According to the invention, the centering section (13c) radially overlaps the outer edge of the first fitting part (11) and partly covers the outer surface thereof.
