Abstract Method for thermal plasma processing organic fuel as well as an arrangement for 5 carrying out the method. There is disclosed a method of processing coal with oxidizing plasma stream in a single technological unit under cyclic-consecutive operation conditions for synthesis gas producing and its further use for electric energy generation, and also for reducing metal 10 from slag by way of regularly repeated blowing with the reducing plasma stream, one of the plasma forming component of which is water. An installation contains coupled gasificators (1 and 2) and a receiver-cyclone (3). Plasmatrons (5 and 7) are arranged in each gasificator (1 and 2), bilaterally along the plane of a partition separating the gasificator and the slag pot, opposite to each other. Receiver-cyclone (3) is linked via 15 pipeline to a gas cooling heat exchanger (14), one outlet of which is connected to a steam turbine (15) and the other one via gas preparation unit is connected to a combustion chamber (18) of a gas turbine (19).
