<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspecting apparatus which can inspect reliably luminescent colors of plural LEDs packaged in a printed circuit board or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the inspecting apparatus, probe arms 11, 12 are moved and a first probe pin 11a and a second probe pin 12a are brought into contact with a circuit pattern 51 where an electronic component to be subjected to electric measurement is packaged, so that a path for the first probe pin 11a, the electronic component and the second probe pin 12a is formed. Then, when the electronic component is the LED 52, electric measurement of the component is carried out by flowing electric current between the first probe pin 11a and the second probe pin 12a, and during this time, the light emitted by the electric measurement is guided to a spectroscope 30 through an optical fiber cable 20 attached to the second probe arm 12.
