<p>By performing a full MLD only when a specific condition is satisfied, it is possible to prevent QR decomposition-MLD performance degradation while suppressing increase of the necessary calculation amount. For each of the reception signal symbols, a reception channel matrix formed by N rows and N columns is subjected to the QR decomposition to obtain an upper triangular matrix (301, 302). After obtaining a reception channel matrix subjected to the QR decomposition, a partial matrix of the M-th stage is extracted to calculate metric of a replica candidate which can be selected for the partial matrix (303). The calculated metrics are ranked in the ascending order (401). The K-th replica and after having low evaluations in the ranking are excluded from the candidates in the next stage and after (403). If the largest metric obtained in the ranking of step 401 is smaller than a specific threshold value, the aforementioned step 403 is skipped and no replica candidate is selected.</p> |
