<p>A dunnage means (14) for filling a void space in a container (10) comprises an inflatable dunnage bag (16) and an inflation valve (18) for inflating the dunnage bag (16) with a gas, the inflation valve (18) comprising a solid member (24). The invention proposes that the solid member (24) comprises an elevated portion (40), an outer surface (42) of the inflatable dunnage bag (16) being tightly fixed to the solid member (24) along a circumferential sealing area (50) being distant from the top (46) of the elevated portion (40), the top (46) of the elevated portion (40) comprising a circumferential sealing rim (48), which is tightly contactable by the outer surface (42) of the inflatable dunnage bag (16), the solid member (24) comprising an inflation opening (32) arranged between the sealing area (50) and the sealing rim (48), and a wall (44) of the dunnage bag (16) comprising an opening (52) being arranged radially inwardly of the sealing rim (48).</p> |
