Electric switchgear panel with improved arc detection system, and related arc detecting method

A switchgear panel comprising:
- an enclosure delimiting an internal volume which is divided into one or more compartments suitable to accommodate corresponding electrical or electronic equipment;
- a single or multi-pole circuit breaker which is positioned inside one of the compartments and has, for each pole, a housing chamber accommodating at least a couple of contacts which can be actuated during operation of the circuit breaker. The housing chamber is arranged so as to be at least partially opaque to UV light generated inside it following actuation of the contacts;
- an electric arc detection assembly which is configured to detect the presence of UV light inside the enclosure and to discriminate, based on the level of UV light detected, between a possible electric arc occurring in the internal volume and a circuit breaker operation involving actuation of the couple of contacts.
