PURPOSE: A system for sharing a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) based on a social network service and method thereof are provided to enable a user to effectively share connection information by effectively grasping the location information of the wireless LAN. CONSTITUTION: A connection information creation unit(120) creates a wireless LAN connection information for connecting the connected first wireless LAN. A register request unit(130) requests the register of the created wireless LAN connection information to an apparatus which manages the wireless LAN connection information. A sharing establishment unit(140) establishes a wireless LAN share mode in the apparatus about the wireless LAN share request received from a terminal connected to a second wireless LAN which confirms the register wireless LAN connection information. The wireless LAN connection information includes user information, wireless LAN identification information, and security information.
